We are proud to present our first WordPress theme, MakNews. It’s a news and magazine WordPress theme that also fits for community, editorial or personal blog. MakNews comes with some useful features, such as: user friendly theme options, custom widgets, multiple page templates, flexible homepage layout, skins, visual shortcodes and more.
Why “MakNews”?
We named it “MakNews” not only because this theme designed for news site, but beside that we also have another reason why we choose this name. MakNews derived from Indonesian word “maknyus”, an exclamation indicating delicious and delightful in Bahasa Indonesia or you say it “Yummy” in English. With this name we hope our theme will make website more delightful, so visitors will really enjoy when visiting the site.

MakNews provides two homepage layouts, news style layout and blog layout, and you can switch the layout easily via theme option built in this theme. You also can create custom blog page as you can see on the demo.

MakNews comes with user friendly options panel, with our WPNuke theme options, you can easily customize every detail of your themes without touching the template files. For example, you can easily upload your logo or favicon and use it on your theme. On the Typography section, you can customize the general typography of your themes, and there is full support for Google Fonts in the font selector.

MakNews has six widget areas, sidebar, four in the footer, and homepage under post photo slide. This theme also includes seven custom widget which is ready to use:
- Ad Widget, with this widget, you can easily insert your Google AdSense code to displaying your ads on the sidebar. Image banner ad also available in this widget.
- Flickr Widget, you can showing your flickr gallery to your visitor using this widget.
- Latest Tweets Widget, using this widget, you can displaying your latest twitter update. This widget available for sidebar and footer.
- Social Media Widget, stay in touch with your visitor via popular social media. Place this widget on your sidebar or footer and your visitor will find you on their favorite social media.
- Tab Widget, sidebar widget that displays popular posts by comments, recent posts, latest comments and tags.
- Video Widget, you can featuring your YouTube or Vimeo videos using this widget.
- Category List Widget, with this widget you can display the recent posts for each specific category. You can put this widget on the homepage under post photo slide.

great wp theme, I like its color schemes, light silver and dark grainy. but a light site is better in my opinion.
